Greetings from SWAPP! Hope this letter finds you well!
This is in reference to the newly approved RA 11898, otherwise known as the Extended Producers Responsibility Act on Plastic Packaging Wastes, amending RA 9003, the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. As stated in Section 4(a) of RA 11898, the law included three (3) representatives from Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) with track record on solid waste management or waste reduction, recycling and resource recovery, studies, and programs and SWAPP submitted its interest to be one of the member NGO in the NSWMC.
To show its support to RA 11898, SWAPP will conduct its yearly SWAPPCON with the theme: EPR - Challenges and Opportunities. Our yearly conference is targeting at least 200 participants from the national/local government units, academe, and private sector industries in order to instill deeper awareness and strong support to our advocacy. Last year, SWAPP partnered with the city government of Iloilo and for this year we are inviting the Quezon City government to be our partner in the 2-day conference.
In view of the above, SWAPP humbly invite you and your staff or colleagues who are advocates of cleaner environment to our 2-day conference: SWAPPCon 2023 on November 28-29, 2023 (Tuesday and Wednesday). We will be very much delighted if you will take part in our conference and considered as active member/s of the Association. Please see attached our Draft Program for your reference and a copy of SWAPP updated Profile. You may share this invitation with your friends who are also advocates of environment. Just advise us their Name, Position/Designation, Name of Office/Company and their email address/ses for formal invitation too. Once we got the confirmation of at least 5 pax, SWAPP will give you a 10% discount in the Conference Registration.
Registration Fee is four thousand five hundred pesos (PhP5,500). Accommodation is NOT included in the Registration Fee; participant will pay for it. Payment/s can be deposited in
